Sales Engineer

Summary:

The sales engineer will assist the Business Development team to sell complex technological products or services to clients. They will have extensive knowledge of the company’s technical solutions capabilities and technologies employed in solving our client’s problems. The sales engineer will help in identifying opportunities, scope solutions and participate in pitching solutions to clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products or services to customers and prospects.
  • Collect information from prospective customers to discover and understand their current pain points, motivations, and explicit and implied needs from a software solution
  • Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and provide sales support
  • Plan solutions to meet customer needs
  • Recommend solutions to customers, showing how changes will improve their business
  • Help in researching and developing new solutions and/or leveraging a combination of existing solutions to meet client needs
  • Become an expert in the features and benefits of the Web Teks suite of solutions & capabilities
  • Communicate with prospects using face-to-face meetings, written communications, phone, and web meetings
  • Educate and train the business development team on Web Teks solutions
  • Be an advocate for customers in the product management and development process by collecting customer feedback and delivering it to product teams
  • Respond to any technical questions and ensure that prospects have all questions answered
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, and competitive software/solutions
  • Attend trade shows and customer onsite meetings as needed
  • Travel up to 50%

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in management information systems (MIS), computer science, or a related engineering field, MBA a plus
  • Proven track record of combining business acumen with technical experience to close sales
  • Superior communication skills, able to convey complex ideas to a variety of stakeholders
  • Knowledge of development languages such as Javascript, web development and CMS technologies including Drupal and Wordpress, hosting platforms including AWS, webhooks, databases, CI/CD concepts and tools
