Senior Front End Javascript Developer

Web Teks is seeking a Senior Front End Developer (JavaScript) to work with complex multi-tier applications.

You will be working in is a results oriented development organization responsible for application development, release management, support systems and ongoing support. You will be responsible for participating in all phases of the Agile development and maintenance life cycle, typically for an assigned business unit or client, and utilizing various customer technology platforms.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Translation of wireframes, mockups and designs into front-end code.
  • Front end web application development with advanced knowledge/deep understanding of web application framework
  • Writes services to consume backend services, leverage APIs and otherwise integrate applications or application components.
  • Works with team to understand, size work and execute work effort using Agile methodologies
  • Collaborates with engineers and graphic designers, analyzes and classifies complex change requests and reviews and evaluates possible enhancements.
  • Analyzes and evaluates detailed business and technical requirements,
  • Unit testing, support during QA and User Acceptance Testing, implementation and integration
  • Self-organizing, takes initiative to drive resolution to open issues
  • Develops and maintains active relationships with the business stakeholders and team members to better understand business requirements.
  • Peer reviews of code.
  • Maintain a focus on rapid delivery of new features to market while maintaining stability and uptime
  • Maintain familiarity with the evolving trends in software development.


  • 3 or more years (3 + yrs with JavaScript) practical experience
  • BA/BS degree or technical training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Broad and deep web application development experience leveraging JavaScript, Angular JS frameworks, Node.js and CSS
  • Experience with the following technologies and methodologies: Node.js, NoSQL, AWS, Agile SDLC, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery and Continuous Deployment.
  • Experience translating modern UX designs into pixel-perfect user interfaces
  • Ability to mentor others.
  • Experience Unit testing (Jasmine, Karma, Mocha)
  • Ability to lead small projects or teams and provide troubleshooting support
  • Demonstrate skills related to troubleshooting issues, coordination and collaboration
  • Strong Analytical skills, strong verbal communication skills, and strong written communication skills
  • Experienced with version control systems (GitHub preferred) is required.
