QA Accessibility Engineer

Our client in Norfolk, VA is seeking a QA Accessibility Engineer who is passionate about ensuring websites and applications are readily accessible to end-users utilizing assistive technologies. Must be knowledgeable about the guidelines defined by WCAG 2.0, Section 508 and other accessibility standards. Seeking a strong communicator with a capacity to train others on accessibility including Developers and QA Engineers.


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other technical field
  • 5+ years experience in Software Development, QA Engineering and/or performing Accessibility Audits
  • 1+ years experience working with people who need to utilize assistive technology to provide a deeper understanding of the needs of end users
  • Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.0, Section 508 and other guidelines used to benchmark accessibility
  • Ability to work well with people of different levels of accessibility understanding
  • Proven ability to train others
  • Passion for making applications and websites accessible
  • Ability to manage your own projects and schedules
  • Self-starter with a proven ability to adhere to tight deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff
