Full Stack Developer - Chesapeake

Web Teks is looking for a professional full-stack developer who will both design and implement cohesive applications based on requirements from customers and management.

The full stack developer is responsible for implementing solutions that will provide a positive user experience and meet the needs of our clients.

Remote work is not authorized for this position. The position is located in Chesapeake, Virginia.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Develops code and performs unit testing, identifies & fixes defects and supports defect analysis and resolution in integrated environments
  • Works with team to develop and define application scope and objectives and collaborate on functional and/or technical specifications using Agile methodologies
  • Collaborates with analysts, engineers and designers, analyzes and classifies complex change requests and reviews and evaluates possible enhancements.
  • Analyzes and evaluates detailed business and technical requirements, and troubleshoots systems.
  • Aids in integrating activities with other departments for successful implementation and support of project efforts.
  • Improve systems uptime by improving system quality.
  • Codes and maintains complex components of information systems.
  • Develops and maintains active relationships with the business to better understand business requirements.
  • May participate in rotational on-call support and monitors the system and identifies system deficiencies.
  • Participates in technical documentation process, as contributor and technical editor.

Required Qualifications

  • 5 years experience, or Bachelor’s degree with 3 years experience
  • 2-3 years experience enterprise level architecture (mobile expertise a plus) or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Application architecture design and analysis
  • The leadership of small projects and troubleshooting support
  • Experience Unit testing (Industry Std tools; Jasmine, Karma preferred)
  • Strong Analytical skills, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Node.js preferred, other backend systems would be considered as well
  • Angular or React Native
  • Experience with version control systems (Git, Stash or CVS) is required.
  • Multiple databases, multi-language or multibusiness application experience is required, SQL and NoSQL
  • Experience working within an Agile Scrum development environment.
  • Experience creating custom Node Modules
  • Experience writing RESTful or Graph endpoints and consuming these services.
  • Must have experience with build automation software such as Jenkins or Bamboo.
  • Self-organizing, takes initiative to drive resolution to open issues.
  • Successful team player who enjoys innovation.
